MP Motorsport have officially locked in their plans for the future, announcing the signing of Matteo De Palo for the 2027 FIA Formula 3 season.
It marks a return to the grid for De Palo as he heads into his second campaign in the championship. His rookie year yielded a 24th-place finish in the Drivers' Championship, highlighted by a standout fourth-place result in the Silverstone Sprint Race.

Before stepping up to F3, the Italian driver put together an impressive run in the Formula Regional European Championship prior to 2025, securing second place in the standings with a total of four victories and 11 podiums.
Now, De Palo is set for another year in the category and is eager to build on the strong momentum MP Motorsport found as the previous season drew to a close.
“I’m really excited to join MP Motorsport for my second year in FIA F3”, said De Palo. “Especially in the second half of this season, they were among the teams to beat, finishing the year on a high with victory, so I aim to do my part in maintaining that kind of form into 2027.

MP Motorsport Team Principal Sander Dorsman shared that enthusiasm for the upcoming campaign. “It’s a delight to welcome Matteo into our Formula 3 squad for 2027. Looking back on his career, having competed with him in F4 Spanish and the Formula Regional European Championship, I’m pleased that he’s on our side now, as he’s always been a fierce competitor.
