Here is the thing, Will Power is finally getting his shot at the Rolex 24 At Daytona. The two-time NTT IndyCar SERIES champion and 2018 Indianapolis 500 winner has officially been named by Mercedes-AMG to its driver lineup for the 64th annual race on the Daytona International Speedway road course.
Power will drive for 75 Express, reuniting with the squad he joined for this year's Indianapolis 8 Hour at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in October. That endurance outing saw the entry finish sixth. Power will share the No. 75 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO with Maro Engel and new Supercars champion Chaz Mostert. It is a stunning lineup for a machine that should be an absolute beast on the road course.
Unfortunately, this debut has been a long time coming. Power had planned to compete in Daytona Beach in 2023, but he had to withdraw due to the illness of his wife, Liz.
That said, these sports car adventures are just one piece of a massive new season of racing for Power. Beginning in January, he will officially join Andretti Global in preparation for the 2026 NTT IndyCar SERIES season. He is set to drive the No. 26 Honda piloted previously by Colton Herta.
