Manthey has laid down its cards for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship, locking in a full driving line-up as the Eifel-based Porsche powerhouse chases a hat-trick of LMGT3 titles. That quest for dominance brings fresh faces and serious pedigree into the #91 ‘Manthey DK Engineering’ 911 LMGT3 R, where reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Güven joins forces with Timur Boguslavskiy and James Cottingham.
For Güven, stepping up to the world championship for the first time comes with zero hesitation. The 27-year-old Istanbul native—a Red Bull athlete, Porsche factory driver, and 2023 Asian Le Mans Series LMP2 class winner—feels right at home with the squad. Having tasted success with them in DTM and endurance racing, the Turkish star points to the great chemistry inside the garage as the foundation for an instant championship challenge as they prepare for the opening round in Qatar.
Sharing the cockpit is James Cottingham, a United Autosports refugee who narrowly missed out on a maiden victory in Lusail earlier this year. Cottingham describes himself as extremely privileged to join an operation boasting six class triumphs at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, including the most recent two editions. Completing the trio is Timur Boguslavskiy, making the switch from BMW machinery to the all-conquering Porsche. The two-time LMGT3 podium-finisher considers the move a significant step in his career, recalling the exceptional performance and professionalism he witnessed during a test at Hockenheim in 2024.
Meanwhile, the sister car running under ‘The Bend Manthey’ banner relies on proven championship-winning synergy. Defending champions Richard Lietz and Riccardo Pera are joined by Yasser Shahin in the #92 machine. The Australian Bronze-rated racer previously drove for the German outfit in 2024, securing victories at Spa-Francorchamps and Le Mans on his way to second in the championship standings.
For Shahin, jumping back into the car felt like no time had passed at all following a recent test in Bahrain after the 2025 season finale. With familiar faces, the same winning energy, and teammates as supremely competent as Richard and Riccardo, the squad is fully locked in to chase more success together as Manthey prepares to defend its crown.
