That is right, the energy drink giant is heading back to where it used to live. As Motorsport.com Italia reports, Honda has officially confirmed the return of Red Bull as a sponsor for its factory MotoGP squad starting in 2027, marking a stunning reunion four years after the brand used Marc Marquez's departure as an exit route.
Back between 2015 and 2023, the Austrian company's branding was a staple on the factory machines from the golden wing manufacturer. That partnership shattered when Marc Marquez made his switch to Gresini Racing, opening a legal window for Red Bull to sever ties with HRC. Now, four years down the line, a fresh agreement has been signed for the arrival of the 850cc machines in 2027. The official statement hints at an even deeper commitment this time around, meaning those famous logos are expected to stretch far beyond the lower fairings and forks of the new prototype.
Unfortunately for Tech 3, this seismic shift means their French setup will likely see the logo vanish from the lower fairing of their two bikes as it migrates back to Honda. Red Bull currently maintains a heavy presence at KTM, sponsoring both the factory squad and Tech 3. Meanwhile, the domino effect hits the rider market hard, as team-level commercial agreements trump personal ones. Fabio Quartararo, slated to become Honda's flagship rider in 2027, will have to break ties with Monster. Monster has been his personal backer with Yamaha ever since his premier class debut in 2019.

According to the report, the rider from Nice reportedly had to pay a sum to nullify that contract with the claw brand, though the funds for that compensation allegedly arrived courtesy of Honda. The golden wing constructor is currently deep in a restructuring period where marketing takes center stage, evidenced by a special livery celebrating the 60th anniversary of the brand's first premier class entry in 1966.
Parallel to this wild sponsor shuffle, Monster's era as the title sponsor of Yamaha looks to be ending after holding that dominant role since taking over from Movistar in 2019. The North American company recently linked up mid-season with Aprilia as the title sponsor of the official structure from Noale, and it maintains a smaller presence with the official Ducati team. That Ducati arrangement runs until the end of 2027, right when Red Bull reportedly hopes to step in with eyes on reclaiming both Marc Marquez and Pedro Acosta.
