Here's the thing about weather ruling the garage: it shakes up the order without a single lap turning a wheel in anger. Saturday's practice and Busch Light Pole Qualifying sessions at Charlotte Motor Speedway got completely wiped out by inclement weather. When Mother Nature steps in like that, the rulebook has to do the talking.
That means Kyle Larson inherits the top spot and will start first when the engines fire up. Right alongside him on the front row will be Chase Briscoe. It is a clean way to set the grid, even if we were all robbed of a flat-out qualifying scrap on the asphalt.
Behind them, the rest of the top five spots fell neatly into place according to the regulations. Tyler Reddick will anchor the second row, joined by Ryan Blaney, while Austin Cindric rounds out that top-five group.

Meanwhile, the garage inspectors were keeping everyone honest. Cole Custer’s No. 41 Haas Factory Team machine caught a penalty after failing pre-race inspection twice. That double stumble cost them dearly, resulting in the loss of pit-stall selection and the immediate ejection of a crew member.
Sunday’s Bank of America 400 is scheduled to get underway at 3 p.m. ET. Fans can catch the broadcast on USA Network and HBO Max, or tune into the audio via PRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
