Look at those numbers: 54 wins, 95 podiums, and five consecutive World Championship titles secured between 1994 and 1998. Who else could it possibly be than none other than Australian legend Mick Doohan!
One of the absolute titans of Grand Prix racing received his official MotoGP Hall of Fame medal at the 2026 Red Bull Grand Prix of Australia. The former rider, hailing from Queensland's Gold Coast, was given his due recognition for a stunning run of dominance during his golden 1990s era, and there was truly no better place for it to happen than on home turf at Phillip Island.
It is a beautiful thing to see history properly acknowledged, especially on the ground where the magic once happened. Congratulations to Mick on a legendary career and a thoroughly deserved honor.
