Now, that is how you seal a championship. Toyota Racing locked out the top step of the podium with a stunning one-two finish at the 6 Hours of Barcelona presented by Visit Qatar on 18 October, officially making them the 2026 FIA World Endurance Manufacturers’ Champion.
It is an incredible eighth team title for Toyota in the FIA WEC, and remarkably their fifth in the Hypercar category since 2021. The crushing formation finish at Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya left zero doubt about their pace.
Out front, the #8 Toyota Racing crew featuring Sebastien Buemi, Ryo Hirakawa, and Brendon Hartley put on a dominant masterclass. They led conclusively from the very first hour to claim their second consecutive victory and their third of the 2026 campaign.
Right behind them came the sister Toyota TR010 Hybrid Hypercar driven by Nyck de Vries, Kamui Kobayashi, and Mike Conway. Securing second place gives this crew a solid points buffer in the drivers' standings as the paddock heads to the final race at Monza next month.
Completing the overall podium, the #50 Ferrari AF Corse 499P trio of Antonio Fuoco, Nicklas Nielsen, and Miguel Molina picked up the remaining silverware.
Meanwhile, the LMGT3 class delivered its own piece of history. Richard Lietz, Yasser Shahin, and Riccardo Pera dominated proceedings to take their first win of the season in The Bend Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 entry. That result marks seven different winners from the seven LMGT3 races this year, setting a record for the most different winners in a single GT class in a single season and proving just how fiercely competitive the multi-manufacturer category really is.
