MotoGP is stepping into an entirely new era, and Red Bull is coming along as the headline act. A newly announced multi-year agreement locks in the iconic brand as the title sponsor for the Australian Grand Prix, anchoring the championship's move to Adelaide for 2027 and 2028.
That first city centre race is locked in for 12-14 November 2027, serving as the penultimate round of the season. When the championship arrives, it will tackle a newly unveiled 4.13km, 15-corner circuit that reimagines Adelaide's famous former Formula One layout. Fans and riders can expect a completely unique urban beast incorporating legendary sections like Stag Corner, Rundle Road, Brewery Bend, and Dequetteville Terrace.
This partnership goes beyond just slapping a logo on a banner. The multi-year deal is set to fuel extensive city-wide activations, unique entertainment throughout race week, and innovative fan experiences designed to cement Adelaide as a flagship destination for the sport. It is a natural extension of Red Bull's long-standing dedication to motorcycle racing and its continuous support for the next generation of talent.
Carlos Ezpeleta, Deputy CEO of MotoGP, did not hide his enthusiasm for the landmark agreement. "Australia is one of MotoGP's most passionate and important markets, and we're delighted to welcome Red Bull as title sponsor as we begin an exciting new chapter in Adelaide in 2027," he stated, pointing to the incredible opportunity of bringing the machines right into the heart of the city.
South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas echoed that sentiment, calling the partnership a massive coup for the region. "Red Bull is one of the most recognisable brands in the world, and having them on board as the title sponsor of Adelaide’s first MotoGP Grand Prix is a huge endorsement for this event and a massive coup for South Australia," Malinauskas said.
With a stunning urban track, a crucial spot near the end of the championship calendar, and heavy-hitting backing from one of motorsport's most influential players, the stage is well and truly set. The Red Bull Grand Prix of Australia is ready to write a wild new chapter.
