Turismo Carretera is back in action this weekend, arriving at the Autódromo Juan Manuel Fangio of Rosario for the third edition of the Copa de Oro Río Uruguay Seguros on October 24 and 25. This marks only the second visit for the top-tier category to the 4,000-meter Rosario circuit, following its previous appearance back at the fifth round in 2019, which was won by Matías Rossi.
Facundo Chapur heads into the weekend holding the lead of the Cup with 82,5 points. Right behind him sits Julián Santero with 81 points—virtually classified as one of the 'three of the last minute'—while Otto Fritzler follows closely in third with 78 units. The previous Turismo Carretera round in San Nicolás went to Ignacio Faín, who stood on the podium alongside Chapur and Santero.
There is also a notable garage shift happening in the paddock for this round. Santiago Álvarez is changing teams, leaving the Uranga Racing structure to join the TCM Racing Team run by Javier Ciabattari and Marcelo La Manna. His Camaro has already been moved to their workshop prepared in Córdoba.
