Here's the thing: you can study the theory all you want, but nothing beats walking the pit lane when the machines are right there in front of you. This Saturday, a group of students currently taking the Diplomatura Mecánico Especialista ACTC got a firsthand look at the operational heart of the Autódromo Roberto Mouras in La Plata.
It is a busy weekend at the venue, with action packed across the TC Pick Up, TC Mouras, and regional categories. Guided by teachers Martín Gil Bicella and Osvaldo Beccam, the group took a comprehensive tour of the facilities.
Their route covered the crucial technical areas, the garages, the tire shop, and the refueling zones, before finishing up with a visit to the Turismo Carretera Museum. It is a stunning way to see the sheer scale of what keeps a race meeting alive.
Beyond just seeing the infrastructure, the students also had the chance to interact directly with engineers and team principals working at the track this weekend. Those conversations gave them real insight into professional experiences, daily responsibilities, and the very real technical challenges involved in preparing and maintaining a racing car.
Organized as part of the ACTC Educación academic proposal, these visits are designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and the real-world environment of the sport, giving students direct contact with the professional paddock.
