Here is the news we have been waiting for: Turismo Carretera is finally heading back to Rosario. After an absence of seven long years, the most popular and packed category in the country returns to the Cuna de la bandera for the thirteenth round of the championship, which also serves as the third round of the Copa de Oro.
Before the engines fire up, the official presentation will take place this Thursday at 10:30 in the Salón Carrasco of the Municipality, located at Buenos Aires 711. Municipal authorities will be joined by the Vice President of the ACTC, Gastón Mazzacane, alongside various drivers from the category who will proudly display the coveted Copa de Oro destined for the 2026 champion.
It has been a significant wait since the category last visited the circuit in the 2019 season, an unforgettable weekend where Matías Rossi took the victory. This comeback is the result of direct collaboration between the Mayor of Rosario, Pablo Javkin, and the President of the Asociación Corredores Turismo Carretera, Hugo Mazzacane, who worked hand in hand to bring the series back to one of the most passionate racing cities in the nation.
That initial positive partnership secured not only the upcoming event scheduled for October 24 and 25, but also locked in an agreement ensuring Turismo Carretera will return to race again in the 2027 season. Thankfully, the wait is almost over for the fans in Rosario.
