Here's the thing about Turismo Carretera: when results refuse to go your way, nobody wastes time waiting for next year. Fresh off the recent competition at the San Nicolás circuit, Santiago Alvarez has officially chosen to walk away from the UR Racing squad.
New air is coming fast for the driver from Ferré. Starting at the very next event on October 25 in the city of Rosario, Alvarez will be competing under the banner of the TCM Racing team, which receives its technical preparation from Javier Ciabattari.
Now, do not expect a machine swap out of this move. Even though the workshop situated in Falda del Carmen in the province of Córdoba currently prepares the Ford Mustang belonging to Ricardo Caito Risatti alongside another machine of the exact same brand, Alvarez is keeping his faithful Chevrolet Camaro. Right now, the car is making its way to its new home so the crew can get straight to work checking over and modifying the Chevrolet.
It is a massive reset born out of pure frustration with recent form.
There you have it. A fresh garage, a familiar machine, and an entire team banking on the next stop in Rosario to completely turn the tide.
