That is right, Turismo Carretera is finally heading back to the Autodromo Juan Manuel Fangio in Rosario. The official presentation for the 13th round of the 2026 season—scheduled for October 24 and 25—took place inside the Salón Carrasco at the Municipality of Rosario. This marks the category's return to the venue for the first time since 2019, and it arrives as a critical round in deciding the Copa de Oro Río Uruguay Seguros.
A press conference brought together the key figures behind the upcoming event. Among those present were Gastón Mazzacane, Vice President of the ACTC; Pablo Javkin, Mayor of Rosario; Sebastián Chale, Secretary of Government for Rosario; Fabián Svegliati, President of the Autódromo de Rosario; Fabián Re, Manager of Agricultores Federados Argentinos (AFA), which serves as the main sponsor for the weekend; and Andrés Abiad, head of the event organizing producer Productora MA. Representing the drivers was none other than Ignacio “Nacho” Faín, winner of the most recent TC round in San Nicolás.
Mayor Pablo Javkin did not hide his enthusiasm during the gathering, emphasizing how vital sports are for tourism and strategic urban development. “And a great debt we had was to bring Turismo Carretera back,” Javkin stated, noting the progression from hosting TC Pick Up to securing the return of the premier division. “We worked on the bond, it first happened with the TC Pick Up, then the possibility of the TC arose and the idea is to reinsert the city, which is the heart of a super motorsport-loving zone, with the best categories with the ACTC.”
Improvements to the venue have been a major focus. The mayor highlighted that infrastructure work has already been completed, with more planned to elevate the circuit's status and strengthen the partnership with the ACTC. “I am sure that it is going to be a unique venue for the TC, and recovering it is something that the fans were waiting for a lot,” he added.
Meanwhile, Gastón Mazzacane, Vice President of the ACTC, pointed to the relentless effort put in by the city to re-establish itself as a hub for national motorsport. “For this 2026 we worked strongly, with the date of the TC Pickup, the confirmed date of TC, with the works that were done in the autodrome, the previous works, obviously thinking about spaces to be able to be all the park of the ACTC, which is very large, the security measures and the works for the public that is very very important,” Mazzacane explained.
With the necessary safety upgrades and spectator facilities finished throughout the year, the ACTC made the definitive call to bet on Rosario once again. Everything is now set for the 2026 championship's thirteenth round to unfold on the weekend of October 24 and 25.
