The racing action may be finished for the year, but the work is far from over as teams head straight into the first of two post-season tests this week at the Circuito de Jerez in Spain. This two-day running gives everyone a crucial opportunity to start their preparations for next season and look to hit the ground running.
Testing runs from October 20-21. On both days, the morning session gets underway from 09:00 to 12:00 local time. Day 1 features a two-hour lunch break before the afternoon session starts at 14:00, leading up to the chequered flag at 17:00 local time. The final day shifts slightly, with the afternoon segment running an hour earlier from 13:00 to 16:00 local time.
The field brings a fascinating mix of experience and fresh talent to the track. There are 15 drivers taking part who have previously raced in Formula 3, while the other half of the grid will be driving F3 machinery for the very first time. Taito Kato stands out as the highest returning driver from the 2026 Standings taking part in the test, having finished fourth in the Drivers' Championship.
Global representation is strong, with 19 different countries featured in the test. Notably, Keanu Al Azhari and Rashid Al Dhaheri are set to be the first drivers from the United Arab Emirates to race in Formula 3 next season. Looking back at last year's Jerez post-season testing, Ugo Ugochukwu set the fastest time for Campos Racing with a 1:30.012.
