Max Verstappen has officially ticked off one of the final boxes on his resume, picking up the winner's trophy at a mighty 27 circuits after finally conquering Singapore at the weekend. Driving for Red Bull, the Dutchman triumphed at the Marina Bay Street Circuit on his 10th attempt under the lights of F1’s original night race. It capped off an incredible weekend for the four-time World Champion, which also included victory in the Sprint too.
Singapore has long been a frustrating venue for Verstappen, despite four previous front row starts and four podiums. His nine starts there without a win was the highest of any current venue on the F1 calendar. But he put that stat to bed with a victory that looked assured from the second he made it to Turn 1 ahead of Charles Leclerc. Verstappen’s win means he has now tasted victory at 27 different F1 circuits, second only to Lewis Hamilton’s 31.
Among his happy hunting grounds, the Red Bull Ring in Austria stands tall with five wins and five poles. Spielberg was Verstappen’s de facto home race before Zandvoort joined the calendar, where orange-clad Dutch fans crossed the border in their thousands. He first won there back in 2018, followed that up with another victory in 2019, and then won twice in 2021 when the circuit hosted back-to-back events during the pandemic. His last victory at the Red Bull Ring was a win from pole in 2023, coming in the midst of an incredible run of 10 straight victories as he galloped to a third straight title.
High-altitude Mexico City has been equally fruitful with five wins and one pole. Verstappen won back-to-back races in 2017 and 2018 despite his car not being the class of the field, followed by three victories in his championship-winning years of 2021, 2022, and 2023. He shared the podium with Mexican team mate Sergio Perez in 2021 and 2022. Meanwhile, Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi has seen four consecutive wins from 2020 to 2023, all from pole, alongside a win from pole last season that was not quite enough to clinch the title against Lando Norris, whose third place finish was enough for the McLaren man to seal the crown.
At the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain, Verstappen grabbed his first-ever F1 win in his debut race for Red Bull at the age of just 18, making him the youngest-ever winner in F1—a record that still stands today. He added wins in 2022, 2023, and 2024. In Austin at the Circuit of The Americas, he has taken four out of the last five Grands Prix, including a 2023 win from sixth on the grid amid mid-race brake issues for his 50th career Grand Prix win. His current tally sits at 73 wins, all with one constructor. Suzuka in Japan also boasts four wins between 2022 and 2025, starting with a wet masterclass that secured his World Championship crown.
Imola holds a stunning 80% win rate for Verstappen with four victories from five appearances, while Interlagos in Brazil features three wins, capped by an imperious drive from P17 on the grid in 2024 to win by nearly 20 seconds. Lusail International Circuit in Qatar has yielded three wins from four attempts, including a 2023 pole where he beat George Russell by nearly half a second. Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Canada, Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, and Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands all feature prominently in his victory log, alongside multiple wins at Jeddah, Sepang, Las Vegas, Baku, and the Hungaroring.
