Andretti Formula E Team have secured the signing of Callum Voisin as their official development driver for the upcoming 2026/27 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season. It is a massive step for the British-Swiss driver, who will now step into a core role driving the simulator and aiding race preparation as the championship hurtles toward its GEN4 era.
Voisin is far from a stranger to these electric machines. His first taste of Formula E machinery came at the 2025 Official Rookie Test in Berlin with CUPRA KIRO, where he managed a fifth-place finish. He followed that up by jumping into the American Andretti squad for the 2026 Official Rookie Test held at Circuito del Jarama in Madrid in March, setting the stage for this permanent arrangement.
We're pleased to welcome Callum into a more permanent role with Andretti Formula E,
Now 20 years old, Voisin arrives at Andretti fresh off a stellar campaign in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB. Driving for Rosland Gold by Century Motorsport, he utterly dominated to claim the 2026 title with two races to spare, stacking up an incredible nine victories along the way. That championship is just the latest jewel in a versatile resume that already includes taking the 2023 GB3 Championship crown with Rodin Carlin, followed by a move to FIA Formula 3 where he famously claimed a Feature Race victory from pole position at Spa-Francorchamps in 2024. If that wasn't enough, he has also balanced his British Porsche racing with outings in Porsche Carrera Cup Italia and a stint in the Asian Le Mans Series with High Class Racing.
"I'm really pleased to be joining Andretti Formula E as Official Development Driver," Voisin said. "Working with the team at the rookie test gave me a great introduction to how everyone operates, so it's exciting to be building on that relationship. There's a lot to learn with GEN4 and I'm looking forward to supporting the team to prepare for each race."
In his new capacity, Voisin will work directly with engineers to support Jake Dennis and Felipe Drugovich. The signing also arrives during a period of leadership change for the American outfit, with newly-announced Team Principal Campbell Hobson stepping in to take over from long-time leader Roger Griffiths.
"We're pleased to welcome Callum into a more permanent role with Andretti Formula E," Hobson stated. "His work in the simulator will be an important part of our race preparation, supporting our engineers and both drivers as we build our understanding of GEN4. Having already worked together at the rookie test earlier this year, there's a foundation to build on and his success across different categories demonstrates his ability to adapt to new challenges."
