Now, the NASCAR Cup Series heads westward to Sin City for a postseason bout at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday. It is quite a machine we are watching right now, because Kyle Larson, driver of the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, enters this weekend on a scorcher. He has pulled off four consecutive top-five finishes to begin The Chase alongside two victories in that same span, including a dominant win at Kansas Speedway over the weekend. That Midwest triumph netted the defending Cup Series champion a 25-marker bump over Denny Hamlin and the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing camp. With that, Larson is now 26 points clear of the other Chasers.
Here is the thing about the championship table: Denny Hamlin currently sits second in the standings, and he happens to be the defending winner of this exact race. This 2026 contest stands as the fourth of 10 races encompassing The Chase presented by Mobil 1, and it marks the 31st points-paying event overall in the season.
Thirty-six cars are entered into this weekend's Chase race at Las Vegas. Fans can catch all the action on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET via USA, HBO Max, PRN Radio, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
