Here's the thing about Turismo Carretera: it knows how to put on a show before the engines even roar in anger for real points. The category made San Nicolás vibrate once again as a faithful crowd turned out to watch the classic street run kick off the weekend's festivities.
The machine leading the charge through the city streets was none other than the BMW of Julián Santero. Starting from the Autódromo Ciudad de San Nicolás, the machine toured the local streets before finishing its route at Costanera Alta, where the official press conference for the second round of the Copa de Oro took place.
Alongside Santero, a strong group of drivers faced the cameras and fans. Agustín Canapino, Ignacio Faín, Juan José Ebarlín, Facundo Chapur, Jeremías Scialchi, and Elio Craparo were all present to mark the occasion.
Institutional figures also lent their weight to the launch event. Fernando Miori, General Manager in representation of the ACTC, stood alongside San Nicolás mayor Santiago Passaglia to officially present the 12th round of the championship.
Now, the talking stops and the asphalt takes over. Tomorrow, the action begins bright and early at 09:15 hours with the first practice session for TC, followed immediately by TC Pista as the secondary category hits the track starting at 10:50 hours.
