Here's the thing about racing: sometimes the weather just destroys a weekend before you even get a proper look at your machine. Elio Craparo is gearing up for the upcoming Turismo Carretera round at the Autodromo de San Nicolas, and he is looking at it as a genuine reset. After the chaos of the last event, this weekend gives the field a proper canvas to show what their cars can actually do.
The previous outing at the Autodromo Rosendo Hernandez was a complete mess, thanks to very particular weather conditions and, crucially, snow. That madness left Elio Craparo with very little track time and empty-handed. "En San Luis fue todo muy particular por lo que sucedió con el clima y fundamentalmente con la nieve," he explained, pointing to how the environment turned the weekend upside down.

Things did not get much easier once the sessions got underway. An electrical gremlin robbed him of vital preparation time, and even though changes were made ahead of qualifying, the package simply lacked the pace. The driver of the Ford machine noted that under those slippery track conditions, the car just wasn't behaving the way it needed to.
That early promise eventually dissolved during the race itself. Running solidly in the 13th position, disaster struck when the exhaust broke, forcing a premature retirement and bringing a bitter end to the weekend in San Luis.
Now, the focus shifts entirely to San Nicolas and making the most of every single session. "Para San Nicolás queremos aprovechar bien los entrenamientos," Elio Craparo said, emphasizing the need to maximize practice. He has no doubt that qualifying will reveal the true competitive order of the field.
The mission for the final four races is straightforward: stack up as many points as possible and show strong pace. The ultimate goal is simple — fight near the front, challenge for a podium finish, or battle for a victory in a final to secure a massive morale boost before the season concludes.
