Here is the thing about how real motorsport education should work: you do not just hand out textbooks, you bring a proper Turismo Carretera machine right to the campus yard. That is exactly what Actc Educación is doing as it returns to San Nicolás for its classic vehicle mechanics day, scheduled for Thursday, October 1, from 14 to 17:30 hours at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional located on Colon 332.
The technical heavy lifting of the training falls to engineers and motorsport professionals Sergio Pendás and Pedro Viglietti. Joining them to explain driver care inside a TC and the proper use of regulatory gear is none other than Turismo Carretera driver Juan Pablo Gianini. They will dive straight into the deep end of the mechanics, technical aspects, and aerodynamics of a Turismo Carretera, tackling track engineering, data interpretation, setup concepts, chassis classification, and suspension systems in front-wheel-drive vehicles.
After hitting the theory, students head out to the institution's patio where a real Turismo Carretera sits waiting. Teachers will use the machine to break down its mechanics and aerodynamic functions right in front of the students and clear up any doubts.
Action shifts on Friday, September 2, to the Taller de Educación Vial Actc running from 9 to 13:30 hours at the same location. This session brings in Turismo Carretera driver Matías Rossi to once again demonstrate driver care and showcase the mandatory racing kit.
Things kick off with a talk from Diego Garay diving into road accidents, statistics, the causes behind crashes, prevention, and emergency response. Following that, Claudio Alonso teams up with the driver to compare the safety mechanisms of a racing car against a standard street car. Students will then rotate through interactive group stations testing everyday scenarios.
The curriculum tackles essential topics like responsible bicycle and motorcycle use, alcohol prevention, safe passenger habits, public transport rules, and police crash investigation. The interactive setup relies on scooters, motorcycles, simulation vehicles, special glasses, driving simulators, and cognitive tools to recreate real situations safely. Actc Educación holds certification from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional – Regional Pacheco, backed by the Facultad de Ingeniería del Ejército and the Taller Escuela de Automovilismo.
