Here's the thing: Turismo Carretera is rolling into the Autódromo de San Nicolás for the twelfth round of the championship and the second stage of the Copa de Oro Río Uruguay Seguros, happening this weekend on October 3 and 4.
Mariano Werner arrives at the summit of the standings with 53 points, piloting the Ford Mustang run by his own outfit. Right behind him sits Otto Fritzler, holding 42,5 points aboard the Mercedes Benz prepared by Maquin Parts.
This marks the twelfth time San Nicolás features on the TC calendar, a venue where Werner holds the upper hand with three victories to his name.
The paddock sees a few key shakeups for this weekend's entry list. Santiago Álvarez is switching brands, moving from Toyota to Chevrolet, while Jeremías Olmedo steps away for the remainder of the season, and Sebastián Abella makes his return after missing the race in San Luis.
