Here is some major movement on the junior single-seater ladder: Reza Seewooruthun will step up to FIA Formula 3 with Rodin Motorsport in 2027, the team has officially confirmed.
The 20-year-old makes this massive leap forward with a squad he already knows well, having raced with them in the 2026 Formula Regional European Championship. During that campaign, he earned two podiums so far.
His path to this point has been a busy grind through the categories. The Briton graduated from karts back in 2022 before taking on a full-time debut in the Ginetta Junior Championship the following year. By 2024, he finished fourth in the British F4 Championship, alongside appearances in the UAE F4 and Euro 4 Championships. A move to GB3 followed in 2025, where he wrapped up that season fifth in the standings.
Looking ahead to his upcoming FIA F3 campaign, Seewooruthun shared his thoughts on staying put with his current racing home.
“I’m proud to be staying with Rodin Motorsport as I move into Formula 3 next year. It’s an honour to make that step with a team I trust. I’m excited for this next chapter, but the next few months are focused on hard work before we get to the season opener,” he said.
Rodin Sporting Director Benn Huntingford also weighed in on the driver's ongoing progression through the team's ranks.
“It’s great to see Reza continuing his development with the team as he steps up to FIA Formula 3. He’s shown some promising pace throughout his time in FREC and secured two podiums this season, which have been important milestones in his progression. We’re looking forward to building on that experience with him and seeing what he can achieve in F3,” Huntingford added.
