Now, this is how you get kids properly hooked on motorsport. Following a safe driving clinic at the Autódromo, ACTC Educación rolled out its second training event of the weekend build-up with a vehicle mechanics workshop held at the Escuela de Educación Técnica Profesional N°466 “Gral. Manuel Savio” on Av. Rouillón 1175.
More than 250 students packed the micro-stadium of the Rosario technical school for a session running from 14 to 18 hours. Representing the ACTC were General Secretary Facundo Gil Bicella and Pro-Treasurer Luis Miraldi. They were joined by EETP N°466 Director Gerardo Maschi, Santa Fe Ministry of Education Territorial Management Director Rubén Rosa, Rosario racetrack President Fabián Sveglietti, and Juan Pablo Alianak representing Comat, who explained the manufacturing process behind the steering boxes used in Turismo Carretera.
Running the classroom side of things were technician Pedro Viglietti and engineer Sergio Pendás, active motorsport veterans who broke down everything from brakes, chassis, element wear, and maintenance before pivoting to aerodynamics and track engineering. And if the theory wasn't enough, the school courtyard featured a physical machine to inspect: the Dodge Challenger belonging to Tomás Pellandino.
Luis José “Josito” Di Palma joined the proceedings, jumping into Q&A sessions alongside the instructors to answer questions not just about Turismo Carretera machines, but also regarding the official racing gear he brought along and displayed.
To wrap it all up, active participation netted students tickets for the weekend at the Autódromo Juan Manuel Fangio and ACTC Educación caps signed by “Josito” Di Palma. The action doesn't stop there, either, as a group of students will tour the strategic areas of the Rosario circuit this Friday ahead of the Turismo Carretera championship's 13th round. Meanwhile, the very same school is set to host a road safety workshop featuring Turismo Carretera driver Facundo Ardusso.
