Here is some proper racing news for you: Ferrari have officially locked in Alba Larsen as the very first driver to contest a third campaign in F1 Academy, keeping the young Dane right where she belongs within the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy for next season.
That third season has been granted thanks to a rule change announced last year, which is available exclusively to drivers whose performance indicates strong potential for continued growth. And frankly, looking at how she has adapted and pushed forward, that faith is well earned.
I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027.
Let us not forget the journey so far. Larsen was signed by the SFDA midway through her debut F1 Academy season in 2025, managing to pull off 10 top-10 finishes in the Tommy Hilfiger car. Moving over to the Ferrari car this year, she recently broke through to claim her first podium in the series, securing back-to-back P2 finishes in Zandvoort. To top off an already busy calendar, the 17-year-old also scored her first win in British F4 earlier this season.
Right now, she sits fourth in the drivers’ standings with just two rounds left to run in Austin and Las Vegas.
Reflecting on the milestone, Larsen shared: "After two years in F1 ACADEMY, I’ve seen first-hand how much this series has grown and how important it’s become. Susie [Wolff, F1 ACADEMY Managing Director] and the team keep pushing it forward, the fans bring so much energy, and I’ve had an incredible team around me."
She added: "I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027."
