Here's the thing: the British outfit is wasting absolutely no time. Invicta Racing has officially confirmed that Noah Stromsted will join the team in 2027, making them the very first outfit to completely lock down their driver lineup for the upcoming season.
Stromsted arrives in the championship after securing a 10th-place finish in the FIA F3 Standings this season, highlighted by a strong victory at the Red Bull Ring. Having competed in FIA Formula 3 since 2024, the Dane steps up feeling ready for the next phase of his career.
He will slot in right alongside Freddie Slater, effectively reuniting the pair after they shared the garage as teammates in FIA Formula 3 in 2026. Invicta Racing CEO & Team Principal James Robinson noted that the team has monitored Stromsted's progress closely across the junior single-seater ranks, expressing belief in the driver's potential.
“I’m really excited to be stepping up to FIA Formula 2 with Invicta Racing next year. I’ve learned a great deal competing in FIA Formula 3 since 2024 and I feel ready to take on the next challenge in my career. Over the past few seasons, Invicta Racing has established itself as the performance benchmark on the F2 grid and I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone in the team. I can’t wait to start preparing for 2027 and I’m excited to see what we can achieve together,” Stromsted stated.
Robinson echoed that enthusiasm regarding the incoming talent, pointing to the competitive nature of junior categories and the team's ambitions for the pairing. With both Stromsted and Freddie Slater locked in for the future, the machinery is ready and the garage is set well ahead of time.
