Here is a piece of news that matters: Ferrari has officially locked in Alba Larsen for a third campaign in F1 ACADEMY, making her the absolute first driver to secure a third season in the all-female series. The Dane will continue her journey as part of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy next year, backed by a rule change introduced last year that grants a third season exclusively to competitors whose performances show strong potential for ongoing growth.
Looking back, the trajectory of this machine behind the wheel is genuinely wild. Larsen was snapped up by the SFDA right in the middle of her debut 2025 season, pulling off 10 top-10 finishes in the Tommy Hilfiger car. This year, she transitioned to the Ferrari car and recently grabbed her maiden podium in the championship, delivering stunning back-to-back P2 finishes at Zandvoort. On top of that impressive run, the 17-year-old also secured her first win in British F4 earlier this season.
Susie [Wolff, F1 ACADEMY Managing Director] and the team keep pushing it forward, the fans bring so much energy, and I’ve had an incredible team around me.
Right now, she holds fourth place in the drivers' standings, with just two rounds left on the calendar at Austin and Las Vegas. That is a serious position to defend as the season winds down.
Reflecting on the announcement, Larsen shared her thoughts on the milestone. "After two years in F1 ACADEMY, I’ve seen first-hand how much this series has grown and how important it’s become," she said. She also shouted out the leadership and support around her, adding, "Susie [Wolff, F1 ACADEMY Managing Director] and the team keep pushing it forward, the fans bring so much energy, and I’ve had an incredible team around me."
"I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027," Larsen concluded.
