Here is a wild piece of news: Alba Larsen is officially coming back for a third campaign in F1 ACADEMY, making history as the very first driver to contest three seasons in the championship. Ferrari confirmed the continuation, locking the Dane in to race under the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy banner once again.
That third season is made possible thanks to a rule change introduced last year. The provision is available exclusively to drivers whose performance shows strong potential for continued growth, and Larsen has undoubtedly put in the work to earn it. Signed by the SFDA midway through her debut season in 2025, she managed 10 top-10 finishes behind the wheel of the Tommy Hilfiger car.

Switching over to the Ferrari car for this year, she pushed through to claim her very first podium in the category, highlighted by back-to-back P2 finishes in Zandvoort. The 17-year-old sits fourth in the drivers' standings right now, with two rounds left to go in Austin and Las Vegas, alongside a maiden win in British F4 earlier this season.
Reflecting on the milestone, Larsen shared her thoughts on the journey so far. "After two years in F1 ACADEMY, I’ve seen first-hand how much this series has grown and how important it’s become," she said.
She also credited the leadership and support surrounding her machine. "Susie [Wolff, F1 ACADEMY Managing Director] and the team keep pushing it forward, the fans bring so much energy, and I’ve had an incredible team around me. I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027."
