Here is a piece of news that sets a brand new benchmark: Ferrari have confirmed that Alba Larsen will return for a third campaign in F1 Academy, locking in her place as the very first driver to ever contest three seasons in the all-female series. She will continue her journey as part of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy next year, keeping her ties firmly rooted in Maranello.
This is made possible by a rule change introduced last year, which grants a third season exclusively to drivers whose performances demonstrate strong potential for continued growth. The Dane certainly fits that bill. Signed by the SFDA midway through her debut 2025 season after pulling off 10 top-10 finishes in the Tommy Hilfiger car, she made the switch to the Ferrari car this year and recently broke through for her maiden podium with stunning back-to-back P2 finishes in Zandvoort.
I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027.
The 17-year-old currently holds fourth place in the drivers’ standings, with the Austin and Las Vegas rounds still ahead of her. If that wasn't enough to keep her busy, she also collected her first win in British F4 earlier this season.
Reflecting on the milestone, Larsen shared: "After two years in F1 ACADEMY, I’ve seen first-hand how much this series has grown and how important it’s become. Susie and the team keep pushing it forward, the fans bring so much energy, and I’ve had an incredible team around me."
She added: "I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027."
