Here is a stunning piece of news from the paddock: Ferrari have announced that Alba Larsen is coming back for a third campaign in F1 Academy, locking in her place on the grid for the 2027 season. That makes the Dane the very first driver to ever land a third season in the all-female championship.
This incredible continuation is made possible by a rule change introduced last year, which grants an extra year exclusively to drivers who show strong potential for ongoing growth. And let me tell you, the performance is there. Back in 2025, midway through her debut season, the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy signed her after she pulled off 10 top-10 finishes in the Tommy Hilfiger car.

Moving over to the Ferrari car this year, the progression has been wild to watch. She recently grabbed her very first podium in the series, securing back-to-back P2 finishes at Zandvoort. On top of that impressive run, the 17-year-old also took her first win in British F4 earlier this season.
Right now, she sits fourth in the drivers' standings, with only two rounds left to contest in Austin and Las Vegas.
"After two years in F1 ACADEMY, I’ve seen first-hand how much this series has grown and how important it’s become," Larsen said.
"Susie [Wolff, F1 ACADEMY Managing Director] and the team keep pushing it forward, the fans bring so much energy, and I’ve had an incredible team around me. I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027.”
