Here is the thing, folks: history is about to be made in F1 Academy. Ferrari have announced that Alba Larsen is coming back for a third campaign in the all-female series, making her the very first driver to ever land a three-year stint in the championship. She will continue flying the flag as part of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy next season.
This stunning milestone comes thanks to a rule change introduced last year, which grants an exclusive third season only to drivers whose performances point toward strong potential for ongoing growth. The Dane earned her spot fair and square. Signed by the SFDA midway through her debut 2025 season in the Tommy Hilfiger car, she racked up 10 top-10 finishes along the way.
I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027,
Moving over to the Ferrari car this year, she recently broke through for her maiden podiums in the series by securing back-to-back P2 finishes in Zandvoort. The 17-year-old currently holds fourth place in the drivers' standings, with only two rounds remaining in Austin and Las Vegas. If that wasn't enough machine work for one year, she also grabbed her first victory in British F4 earlier this season.
Reflecting on the announcement, Larsen shared her thoughts on the journey so far. "After two years in F1 ACADEMY, I’ve seen first-hand how much this series has grown and how important it’s become," she said. She also praised the leadership and support around her, adding, "Susie and the team keep pushing it forward, the fans bring so much energy, and I’ve had an incredible team around me."
"I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027," Larsen concluded. That is a wild commitment to watch unfold for a young talent finding her absolute peak.
