Here is the thing about racing: sometimes a machine and a driver just click, earning a path forward that no one has walked before. Ferrari have confirmed that Alba Larsen is officially returning to contest a third campaign in F1 ACADEMY, making her the absolute first driver in the series to secure a triple-season run. She will continue her journey as part of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy next year.
It is a massive move made possible by a rule change announced last year. That specific regulation is available exclusively to drivers whose performance on track indicates strong potential for continued growth, and the Dane has clearly shown she belongs. Signed by the SFDA midway through her debut F1 ACADEMY season in 2025, she immediately put down 10 top-10 finishes in the Tommy Hilfiger car.
I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027,
From there, the progression has been stunning. Switching to the Ferrari car this year, she recently claimed her very first podium in the series by securing back-to-back P2 finishes in Zandvoort. The 17-year-old currently sits fourth in the drivers’ standings with two rounds remaining in Austin and Las Vegas, alongside adding her first win in British F4 earlier this season to her resume.
"After two years in F1 ACADEMY, I’ve seen first-hand how much this series has grown and how important it’s become," said Larsen. Susie Wolff and the team keep pushing it forward, the fans bring so much energy, and I’ve had an incredible team around me.
"I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027," Larsen added. With the remaining rounds approaching fast, the stage is set for her to close out this chapter before writing an entirely new one next season.
