Here is a stunning piece of news from the racing world: Ferrari have locked in Alba Larsen to become the very first driver to contest a third campaign in F1 ACADEMY, keeping the Dane as part of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy for next season.
That third season has been unlocked thanks to a rule change announced last year. It is available exclusively to drivers whose performance on the track points to strong potential for continued growth, and Larsen has certainly shown that pace. Signed by the SFDA midway through her debut F1 ACADEMY season in 2025, she grabbed 10 top-10 finishes in the Tommy Hilfiger car before switching to the Ferrari car this year.
I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027.
The progression has been brilliant to watch. She recently claimed her first podium in the series, delivering back-to-back P2 finishes in Zandvoort. The 17-year-old currently sits fourth in the drivers’ standings with two rounds in Austin and Las Vegas remaining, and she also managed to score her first win in British F4 earlier this season.
Reflecting on the announcement, Larsen shared: "After two years in F1 ACADEMY, I’ve seen first-hand how much this series has grown and how important it’s become. Susie and the team keep pushing it forward, the fans bring so much energy, and I’ve had an incredible team around me."
She added: "I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027.”
